Heating up
Your ballast resistor is mounted right underneath your control module from what I see in the picture. They are cheap and usually stocked at your local parts store. Is your coil mounted on your intake manifold? I had an oil filled one get real hot when mounted on the intake and would miss at idle. Bought an epoxy filled one and installed it on the fender and the problem went away.
