First off the car is a 76 Duster. I've got the trim pieces but the soft foam seal is destroyed on it. The piece has a stainless steel polished lip and its the first one that mounts to the body on the car over the side windows. The rubber seal then fits into this stainless steel trim.

I cleaned off the area where the foam seal goes and purchased what I thought was a replacement from DMT however the new one does not have a sticky backing like the original and it's not quite the same foam material.

Anyone ever replace this foam material?

Ok so the foam is called "Drip Rail Foam Seal". So I'm gonna say it's called a drip rail. Am I suppose to glue these on some how?

Thanks,

maybe a dab of something here and there to hold it into place while you screw the channel over it.
