i rencently acquired a 72 swinger, it seems to have a lot of options and a very short fender tag. I am thinking some were added? any help is appreciated.

M88 is the molding on the deck lid and quarter panel extensions. No, the 3 speed wipers will be on the broadcast sheet along with the rear defrost as these are not external options like moldings and mirrors, etc.

What was coded varied by plant. J25 will not be on the tag not because of internal/external issues. It's simply that the Windsor plant did not code J25 on the tag for model year 1972. The Hamtramck plant did code it; the Windsor plant didn't.

Do you have a photo of the door VIN label? Some later '72 models got the newer style label with the MDH code, so I am just curious.
