Fixed a couple little goof up I did on LF fender and took out a tiny dent on the hood and also stripped the left front fender. No dent's on the that side Yahoo!!
I might like to trade somebody these hood call outs for some `68s

Jimbo Clark bought his yellow Challenger, remember that one?

Did that Cuda have the front cowl forward cut off and welded back on?
Yes ,on both....Robert Brittain, welded a front engine compartment clip back on....in storage somewhere local...
The Challenger sold dirt cheap, didn't know Jimbo got it.. Didn't know ,he liked Mopars

In a storage garage in Nipomo by me is where I saw the Cuda.

Jimbo ended up with that 440+6 T bucket that crashed so he wanted to build a car to put engine in. Gonna be a cool car someday.

Heard the T bucket wrecked, been years since I've seen Jim.. At least a stooge ,didn't get it...

One more door ding and a funky dent at door handle like some one slammed the door very hard while pushing on handle. Then move on to right rear 1/4 panel, only see one larger dent there.

What car are you bringing to the Fling? Nice progress on the Dart.

Thanks. It will be there if I can sort out the torque converter issue, I don't think it is balanced properly or something. In OD it is smooth as silk any rpm it just flies down the freeway, but in all other gears I have a vibration. Even when car is not moving and you rev about 1,800 rpm it vibrates. Didn't do this with the 904, so narrowing it down to the converter area. It is a rebuilt converter and thinking it is not done properly.
I was going to ask opinions on here.

Today I took out the poly transmission mount and put in a rubber #2360. Just pulled it out of shop and less vibration felt already, before my shifter knob would rattle since my 340 has some umpity ump to it. I doubt it will fix all my vibration I am chasing but a step in the right direction. Hit the freeway now....best part of this project.:icon_fU:

All fixed no more vibration , feels like a different car . no more poly for me .

Still scrapping off all the crappy blue paint that got slopped on over the Bronze long ago with a razor blade. If anything it preserved the metal below.

Back at it here I go.

Hmm. You are inspiring me to do this... I currently have an A999 trans in my duster. Been thinking about OD for awhile. I have access to tools that will help me rebuild one.
I converted my A999 to non-lockup a while ago. My thought on lockups is I always had a concern about those hollow input shafts and the lack of TQ converter options.

I have been driving the whitewalls off this Dart and it is so much fun . I had my lift available this morning so I put it up to just look around and no leaks. Whoopie!!
Everything is working great too.

Awesome!

My dart project is keeping its original engine trans 318/904 but the next car is getting an overdrive.

Yes if mine was stock I would have done the same for sure. Just have fun and drive em.....allot

Not sure yet, waiting to see our friend feels up to going with us he has been ill. If he goes we take a vehicle he is comfortable in.
I am adjusting valves on R/T just in case we take that or Dart good enough to go.

We took my 67 Dart on a trip 250 miles to spring fling and it ran perfect, the od made such a big difference and fun. We could keep up with high speeds people drive in the big city easily . We averaged 17 mpg, I was happy with that with a healthy thirsty 340.
What a fun car.
