my first 742 case rebuild, need alittle advice please
i see by the pics these are original 3.23 Chrysler gears -- not Richmond as you were told --- so they probably have been used/abused for up to 100,000 + miles -- and installed possibly in several different cases over the years with bad results.
over the years i have bought several original factory set up center sections with 3.23 gears ,, with similar mileage i would imagine and the gear patterns were excellent after the rebuilds-
i like the effort you have made but i think you should pass on the 3.23 and just buy a new gear
