65 barracuda with a 904 trans, resealed everything on the tranny besides the shift down lever. Is it possible/common for that to leak. Not just a small leak but pretty heavy

Yes,it can leak as bad as the dipstick tube seal if the seal is real bad.

Yes, the kickdown shaft seal is a prime suspect at this point; replace it. The transmission pan can be a pain to seal, too; the current-production Chrysler pan and triple-seal gasket does way better than old pans and floppy gaskets; see here.

I hate to admit this, but i forgot to tighten the neutral safety sw on mine, just spun it in by hand and was going to get back to it. lol never did took a bit but i found it.

Yup. Both 904's I've owned leaked from there. Replacing the kickdown and shifter selector shaft seals (going from memory on those names) are just as important as the front and rear seal. Learned that the hard way :) much easier to replace when you have the trans out

They can leak at the speedo pinion and cable too. I had one that leaked from a pin in the back passenger side?
