414 Dyno results: Missed combo?

Why?☺
@RAMM have you calculated intake port size/length for this camshaft?
In my car,i think this is a boring engine☺ it will fall over before 5000, not any fun to accelrate when you cant rev it out. Sure its cool when you stump it, it light up the tires instantly.

Naw it won't fall off before 5000, in fact this engine will rev to 6000+ rpm so fast you better have a rev limiter. Most engines I dyno and have experienced in the vehicles after felt like they would easily rev almost 1000 rpm more than what was indicated by the dyno. First engine I dynoed for myself was a 451 B and it was all done @ 5700 rpm on the dyno-you would not know it in the car-in fact I had a 6500 rpm chip in the MSD and thank God I did-it was impossible to shift or modulate throttle. It was on the chip all the time.

Didn't calculate lengths and have done this 4" arm deal a million times. This engine will shove you back HARD with mild gears and a stock converter which makes it appealing to MANY. This engine is the perfect Dr. Jekyl/Mr.Hyde and will surprise the **** out of the new owner. I did a 365 for this owner's cousin that was mild also 438 tq/375 hp and they still cannot believe how hard that pulls in a heavy *** Mirada--He has taken down big blocks and modern LS powered stuff-Imagine this engine with 100 ft/lbs more.

I do know what your trying to say though, I myself prefer an engine with an "extended" RPM range. J.Rob
