340 x-block vs. 410 stroker ?

all kidding aside..it's just physics.
In a 4" stroke engine each piston will travel 16 inches for 1 rpm.In an engine with a 3" stroke the piston only has to travel 12 inches for 1 rpm.
So at 5000 rpm the 4" stroke engine piston will have to travel 5000 x 4" or 20,000 more inches than a 3" stroke engine, so it should take longer to get there?
these 2 engines are just different in the way they make power.

How heavy is that piston on the end of the rod???

Sonny's engines seems to have little trouble getting their 5 inch stroke engines to spin 8,000 plus.........

Mod Motor Fords have little effort zinging 8,000 plus.....

stroke is not an issue here...............
