340 x-block vs. 410 stroker ?

My 410 rev's 8000+ no problem and extremely quickly. My heads stop flowing at 5800. I can shift @ 6200 or 7200 rpm's or higher but still get the same et so why ?

this is never an exact science.I remember reading some exitensive intake manifold tests from one of the more popular Mopar specific shops who everyone is familiar with.
A lower flowing manifold (not the lowest) with very unbalanced runner flow made the most Dyno power on the engine used?
