I've searched high and low for two days and i guess this part doesn't exist.
I'm talking about the orange needle that slides across the PRND21 face.
I hate to make a whole new thread about this.

Sounds like you're on the right track with shift indicator......

Like said I would guess the shift indicator needle.

I've been Googling that, I simply can't find that needle anywhere.

I also can't even find the whole unit as a replacement. You figure people have just been swapping to a console shifter all this time?

Hit a bone yard and just get a whole column if need be!

Put up a Wanted thread here. Somebody will have one for you...

If it's a 70s I might able to lay my hands on one in the tool shed easy.
I'm pretty disorganized. But I'll try if you need one.
I've got 10 pounds in a 5 pound bag.

It's a 74.
I'm seeing more and more evidence that column shifters weren't that common by this model year so I've been trying to find Valiant parts as well.

I'll have to see how the original broke off, you would think they're pretty protected in there.
It's nothing to spray paint a little wire orange.

PM me your address and I will mail you mine for free! I smoothed my automatic column and do not need it.

Here soon I'll have the one out of my '74 if you don't get one by then.

On the contrary, they were very common in those years.
I bet they made a million of them combining all of the body styles made by Chrysler over several years with the same column style including trucks etc............. (not exaggerating)

I would have thought a console shifter would have been the most popular.
I guess these things must never really break for how little i see about them online (it's always a GM part if i can find it).
Whoever owned this car before me did a number on the interior, maybe it was an intentional "modification"

hi everyone. is it possible to find a prindle or a needle gear selector for my 1976 dodge dart?
I haven't seen one in a catalog but someone may make one. Start a wanted thread here for a used one or maybe try Layson's a sponsor of the site. Welcome to FABO
