I have finally moved over to the dark side and started messing with an early A. I can claim to know quite a bit about the 67-75 cars but I am in no-man's land with early As.

The knowledge that @65 Dartman and @cosgig have on these early cars is impressive to say the least.

I know there are a ton more knowledgeable members which is why FABO is the best site ever but I have been bugging these two gents in particular with a ton of questions and the knowledge is downright impressive.

Thanks so much FABO and everyone who makes it rock !!

You've had lots of disdain for the early A in the past. I am surprised at the turnaround.

What I have found after owning over 20 67-76 cars is that the 64-66 Valiants seemed to be alittle bit fancier. The body panel gaps were tighter too. I am not too fond of the A body cars built before 1967 though. The styling was too rounded and to me the roof lines looked out of proportion. I don't like the flimsy K member, the stud mounted idler arm, the torsion bar hood springs or the tiny wheelwells. Those can all be modified though. A convertible model is a nice looking car. The 64-66 Barracuda looks odd with the stock wheels and tires. They BEG for wider tires out back with a slight forward rake!

The main reason i couldn't pass up my 63 valiant is because it's a wagon. 2 or 4 door, i would have had to think about it. Convertibles are a no go for me.

But a wagon is just bad *** in my opinion so i had to have it.

I like the wagons too. I tried to get the wife to drive a 2006 Magnum but I couldn't sway her.

I have a feeling that if a cardboard box was shaped like a wagon, you would have one of those in your stock as well!!! :)

I guess I'll have to look harder at the wagons out at the honey hole, to see what this Wagon love is all about!!!

Many, MANY !! great members here  help us along on our build's  and way to many to tag, I started my life here with an early A body and after all the great years here I am still loving my girl Victoria.
I have seen all the helpers and caring members that take the time to answer a bunch I have had :thankyou: Yes FABO is the best of the best sites going

-------------------------------------------------------agree w/ the wagon being bad a$$ ! still watching for one.

Yes the knowledge here is very impressive. Plus the helpful attitude and good nature is wonderful.

The early A have been under appreciated.

The thing with Early "A" is that 1nch and a half less clearance under the hood. Seems like nothing but it is a issue with engine swaps.

Yep, great bunch of guys here.

Just had a member pm me this morning with an offer of some free parts to help out with my Magnum swap.
I won't name names till I know he's cool with it.
But FABO rocks!

Memike said it right. There are a bunch of members here that are more than happy to help. For the last 6 months I have been picking CudaChick1968's, (Leanna), brain about powder coating. She does this for a living and has been more than helpful with tips and tricks with no worries about me taking away business, as if I would ever get that good, LOL. The point is that from my experience, all you have to do is ask and be respectful and just about anybody here will help.

Kudos to those that are helping Rani out. She sure has helped her fair share of members.

I couldn't agree more Jack!! I've been helped out by a ton of members here over the years, and try to repay that in kind to anyone I can! It's the family feel of this site that keeps people here a close knit bunch, and I'd like that to continue to flourish!!

best auto forum i have ever been a part of, and i have been on auto forums for over 15 years. it is the only one i would pay to support.

Man, you must have really low standards if you are impressed with us.. LOL

Anyway, welcome to the land of A Body

don`t agree, the 68 hemi barracudas and darts are what really made a body mopars ''famous "
I agree somewhat, but the ''Hurst Hemi Under Glass'' was a hit right away and was an early A Body Barracuda, that has to count for something............
