67 valiant slant trans to 77 truck slant trans

Be sure the truck trans isn't a lock-up, this was discussed not that many threads ago, do some research a page or so back in the slanty forum here.

What happens if it is a lock up
First model year for lock up was 1978. Bought one new. But trans could have 77 date for a 78 model year.
I believe there's no hybrid poss. for a L/U unit.

Which trans is the 77 unit, 904 or 727? 904 can use a hybrid converter. 727 will not work.
What is a hybrid converter
One that is manufactured with the smaller register hub nose welded onto the front of an otherwise late model unit. A 727 would have integral componentry too large to
fit w/the small hub.
