The last two days when signing in I'm getting a message from Firefox saying that the site I'm signing into is not a secure site. Can you check this out?

Ignore it.

It doesn't NEED to be a secure site since we're not selling things through the site. (like Walmart.com)

But, that is in the works and should be resolved in the next few weeks.

My email address used to automatically enter in the box now I have to type it in. I thought it should be secure as you're using a password. Thanks for the update. Mark

Its a different level of secure. Basically if your storing credit card information, (which we don't) you need to be "secure". By secure it means certain sensitive information are encrypted and stored that way. Regardless, we will be secure shortly. We've started working to get the other sites already.

I could get into a lot of technical jargon, but I wouldn't imagine you would want to hear about it. I will give you a link though. https://sitedart.net/make-my-website/ssl-certificates/do-i-need-an-ssl-certificate

This is and will continue to get more prevalent with all Internet browsers and eventually all of them will warn on ANY site that isn't an https address.

Any site that needs a sign in. They see the login box code and assume the site needs to be secure. Its all automated.

I wasn't speaking specifically about the F_BO sites, as the powers that be (google at the forefront) are pushing for every site being a secure site.

Here's a quote from Google as to why.

"Websites with a "HTTPS" added before the URL indicate an added level of security to normal web browsing, compared to visiting a non-secure "HTTP" connection. This guarantees users are reaching the website they intend to visit, and the extra security protects them against hackers.
"When you load a website over HTTP, someone else on the network can look at or modify the site before it gets to you."
