Demon 1971 4 speed....?

All A-body manual transmissions had a ball for a shift knob. No pistol grips on A-bodies from the factory. If I'm understanding you correctly.

'71 4 speed shifter should look like this

DING DING DING, We have a winner ladies and gentlemen... lol
Thanks, that's exactly what I was taking about. Appreciate it, reason is I'm in the midst of possibly picking up a 71 DEMON (H car) and I wasn't sure what type of (original) 4 speed (transmission) and shifter came with the car, if it were the original shifter or it had been changed.
I wasn't sure if the A body (71 - 2) cars came with 833 transmission or the Borg Warner, etc.. Slowly, slowly, I'm getting there.
I have a 72 Duster which I just got a cpl of yrs ago and started to educate myself with A bodies, as I always was interested and owned an E body (V, shaker) car in the past.
Never really liked the A body cars in the past and now that I have one, I can't seem to slack off and not get one (or more, lol) into my garage.
Thanks for the info.
