Went racing with my brother last night and had a blast. Both of our cars run low 12 and high 11s depending on the air so we got a few close fender runs in.

Went to the drags tonight and set a new best time.
1974 VJ Charger 2900lbs 410 small block Edelbrock heads 10.5 forged pistons, Hughes roller hydraulic cam 228 @ 50thou 530 lift, pacemaker Try Why headers, 5speed TKO600, borg warner 7.5 diff with 3.91 gears. 1.63 60ft, 11.53 @ 119 mph.
I am a bit disappointed with myself as on my last run I went a 1.575, 60ft but missed third gear shift and only did 11.7. I recon without this missed shift I would have done a 11.3 What do you guys think?

Thanks. I have a lot of fun in that car. Currently tuning a Demon 750DP to try and get more out of it.
I've lost 3 tenths running in the hot air this summer and trying all kinds of tunes for crap air.

I almost bypassed the 11 second bracket all together. My old 360 combo was running 12.1 @109 mph.

New combo with the 416. A little more tuning and I'll be seeing some 10s but that will have to wait until spring.

1.61 60'
7.02 1/8th
98.03 mph
11.06
120.67 mph

OH DANG! Have you been looking at my build specs! Except for the F.I., that's my cam, compression etc....
I'll be running a ported 6 pack intake. What did you do for headers?
I have Hooker Super Comps. (1-3/4 tube.) 4 spd car.

I'm also running Hooker 1-3/4" (5204) for headers.
416 stroker= 1972 340 block 0.30 over with a forged eagle crank, H beam rods, mahle pistons, custom Comp cam with .620 lift, full ported and polished Edlebrock heads, 750 Proform DP, Air Gap manifold with fresh air from the hood scoop and TTI step headers into 2 1/4 exhaust all the way out back into stock tips. Trans is a 727 with a forward manual VB shifted at the column, Coan 3000-3500? convertor going back to a 3.73 clutch style SG in an 8 3/4 with 11x2 1/2 brakes and 002/003 superstock springs with snubber. Custom frame connectors and driveshaft loop. 69 Dart with complete interior and stock suspension with stock style disc brakes up front and weighing about 3200#. Only changes at the track are 26x9.5x15 Hoosier quick times in back and 25" skinnies up front. Best so far: 11.28 through the full exhaust and 11.06 with open headers with no tuning, should hit the 10's with a tune for open headers. Best 60' 1.47

I knew I forgot some info lol

390 gears.

Comp cams 20-813-9 xr286hr grind number. Which is 236/242@050

Ibe got to learn to foot brake it harder and more agressive I believe as my 60s dropped each pass as I learnt.

Still got my Heavy 75 bumpers front and rear. Full steel car. No glass parts at all yet. Just no passenger seat and rear fold down all gone for now.
