Are these a black rubber type gasket? Back around 86/87 I bought a set of MP, might have still been Direct Connection , cant remember, gaskets for a 440, they were that type, reusable and never so much as weeped. Best valve cover gaskets I ever bought. I just scored me some unused Moroso gold anodized aluminum covers and those would be my choice, or the Moroso gaskets?
