Swinger emblem question

Why do some of the Swinger emblems have 3 mounting pins and others have 4 mounting pins?
 
In the beginning, the emblems were on the fender. At some point they were on the quarter panels, then they went back to the fenders. Maybe somewhere along the way they changed? Do they all have the yellow daisy on them? I have a pair from a 73 Dart that have the yellow Daisy.

they all had 4 till Chrysler decided they could save money and just use 3 pins. eventually they removed the flower. most had 4 barrel nuts except the 70 swinger 340 which had a nut on the flower
 
My 1970 Swinger has it's original emblems and they have three studs not four. The back of the yellow flower has no stud.
