Too ricer for me, and an affront to my industry.

I don't think it's an affront to your industry. Plasti-dip isn't permanent, and it's in a completely different price market. You can plasti-dip your wheels for $30 to $50 for a set of 4 depending on the color. Last time I asked about getting wheels powder coated locally they wanted $80 a wheel just to get them done in black, no fancy colors involved. Now I don't know if that's good, bad or whatever. My point is you're not going to plasti-dip your wheels if you want them powder coated or vice-versa.

Not only that, but it's a good way to try out a color. $30 to black out a set of wheels. If you like it, maybe you want to make it permanent and get them powder coated. If you don't, you peel it off, no harm done. In that respect it might even help your industry. Plasti-dip doesn't last forever, so if someone likes the color change they very well might have them powder coated later.
