Hello all. I have a 318 Mini stroker we just finished. Its basically a 318 with a 360 crank. Stock Magnum heads, reconditioned with some Minor work done. I used an old school MP flat tappet cam 260/268 duration. Dual plane Air Gap style intake with a Proform 600 mech carb. FBO ignition system. 9 to 1 compression, runs great on 87 fuel.

Idles smooth with 18in of vacuum.

Made 356hp and get this 426tq!
Its a pretty basic build and will make a great Cruiser. Low maint and should last for a very long time.

Asking $4500, complete from carb to oil pan, ready to rock and roll.

The max torque is all in at 2100, and the max H.P. is in at 5,800.
What a great street engine with a lot of grunt low in the R.P.M. range!
Looks like this engine would be great for a tow vehicle or a nice sporty little street car.
What was the displacement, and was the crank internally or externally balanced?
It reminds me of a 340's red headed stepchild, and that's a good thing............

No, your reading the dyno sheet wrong. Far left column #1, is time, RPM is #2, TQ is #3 and HP is #4

It is external and comes with the flexplate and damper

Okay, i see my error now.
H.P. in at around 5600 and and torque is in at 3400.
Nice for a street car especially if it's a light cruiser with say 3:55s that you don't want to rev to the moon!

Hit 400tq at 2600rpm
Peak
426tq at 3400rpm
356hp at 5200rpm

Yup good little every day motor with a load of torque.

So you stroked a 318 with a 360 crank with stock 318 pistons? I did the math once and it was only like +.150 but with a .040 gasket and a dish ...? Cuz I still got a 360 crank turned down to 340 mains....Has a chipped flange though. :-(

I need the room in the shop so it has to go. This is a great engine, drop in ready for anything. Im betting with a tall gear, like a 2.94 or a 2.76 this thing would get about 20mpg, and still have enough torque to boil the tires even with those real tall gears. Hell, change the oil pan put it in a Truck and you got a perfect tow engine as well!

That's what I read but found it to be a little foggy. OEM 318's on a 3.58 crank? Thats +.135 difference. Open heads and deep factory"in the hole" for starters.

Stock Silvolite 1.741ch. milled the tops down .065(down in hole .008 after deck clean-up) and milled a small 10cc dish. The crown was .325 thick so more than enough for a little removal. Also had to take a bit off the skirt as it interfered with the counterweights, no big deal. Easy Peasy cheap mini stroker and it ran better than expected.

It needs a good home. Drop in ready for this spring and summer cruising. I need the room. So let's make a deal and get this in your car!

Got a few nibbles, but no bites. It needs a good home. This is a Strong running engine, with all the power to make it fun, and yet still has 100% stock like driveability. The price is fair, its complete from Carb to Oil Pan w/Ignition system and Flexplate. Its drop in ready.

Thanks!

This is a great deal.I dont want to insult you.If you will take a 3500.00 Credit Card I'll come and get it this weekend.

Still have this engine for sale. It needs a home, doing no good sitting in my shop. I need the room, you need a good running 360. Lets get er done!

Wow, really thought I had a great little engine here but I guess not. Still have it. Anybody????

It is a great engine.
349ish cubes with that torque! I'm sure I can get very deep 20s mpgUS, POINT-TO-POINT, with something like that, in an A-body. And I know it will boil 255s all the way thru first,at least. What's not to like?!
And with a power peak perfect for an automatic,if you have it set up to rev to about 6400.
With 2.94s, she can hit 60mph at 5800 at the top of 2.45 low gear! 32 mph will be about 1900 rpm in second gear/3200rpm in first; so kick it down and Shazzam! she is G-O-N-E.
Oh and BTW,
5800 is about 98 mph at the top of second gear. I'm guessing this would be a low 14 second car with those skinny 255 street meats, lol

IMO that is a stunning little street engine.
