16 in tires are getting scarce like 14 and 15's. I have a 95 dodge 3500 with 16's.
on our old cars..... basically a 16 in rim and 60 series tire would pretty much give the same total height as a 15 and 70 series I bet. personally, I can stand to look at the larger rims and rubber ban tire. but I am old and old school! ha

15" tires aren't getting scarce, nor are 16"

17+ doesn't look like rubber bands all the time. It all depends on the profile of the tire. a 28" tire on a 18" rim has 5" on each side. Same as a 24" tire on old school 15's, etc.
