I bought a kit but realized later that you could buy the resin, fiberglass mat and activator for MUCH cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot. I stopped in there to get some disposable brushes, neoprene gloves, and mixing cups.
I ended up mixing batches of resin in the lid off of a Tide container since it was such a small area. Took some photos if you wanted to see. I thought it was going to look terrible when I started but I'm pretty happy with the end results.
As for a light on the indicator, I'm not certain. The console I bought was just the plastic and the two top plates. I'm trying to install a B&M Quicksilver into it.
