Here's a long shot, but since you are looking around and will have the distributor pulled, pull your oil pressure sending unit, use a piece of coat hanger and poke it in the hole, should stop about 7 3/8 inches down, if it doesn't, here's the plug they forgot. Bad news is; it's pull the pan, pump and rear main cap to install.
