Hey guys things are going well with the 67 dart gt convertible but I just got offered a 2015 hemi with 5 speed auto trans. with 37000k miles with a new cam and lifters which required removing the heads which were checked and cleaned at a shop. it comes with everything to install in my car ,wiring, computer, sensors, everything for the price of $2500 . I would be removing the original 6 and replacing it with the hemi. what are your thoughts about price ,fit ,overall project to convert. thanks.

Don't know what you budget is but you will be looking at around $10K by the time you have it up and running. Not saying that you should or shouldn't.It is just time and money. If you can swing it,,go for it..

Schumacker sells everything you need from the engine mounts to the headers to the torque strapped to the transmission mount

but you're also the only to have to check the car out. You're going to probably need to do a rear end 8 3/4 rear, torsion bars, brakes, high pressure fuel lines, drive shaft and God knows what else

I have a budget of about 18k to do the conversion and about 6 k for paint and body I am dropping the hammer on this build at least for me this is big dollars.

Yep I have a 1970 Dart that is doing a 6 cylinder to a 440 conversion I've got about $14,000 into it before the paint job
It's an addiction possibly cheaper to do drugs

You may end up with the only '67 Dart with factory Sirius XM and Navigation since the UConnect is part of the computer system. ;-)

If it's in your budget, I say go for it!

thats cool to know i know it has fly by wire for the gas pedal and it has factory ac as well but gps will be cool.

I hate those rubber band TBs, that have a mind of their own.
It's cable throttle or nothing for this cowboy.

If I was in your most enviable position, I would convert it to a stand alone EFI with a throttle cable TB. If that is not possible then, no thanks. If I can't be in charge of something around here I'll go mad. Men were born to be leaders. Take control of your design rite. We pee standing UP, so we can be ready to fight.
The DA that authorized electronic throttle control into service deserves a good swift kick in the peanuts.

I would invest a lot of time reading the "New Hemi Swap" section. You'd be better informed to decide if the swap is for you.

I wish I had read the section before I attempted it. Would have saved me $$$ and time.

I actually put my 440 in my dart today....To make the right decisions you really need to do your investigation and have a game plan.. find out what the parts are going to cost, find out where your going to get them, find out the complications of doing the Swap. then moving forward you cannot hesitate, if you start and you decide to go..you must go all out you can't go half-assed. Not only can the motor be addressed but the braking system the suspension steering and anything else that might relate to a bigger motor in a car has to be addressed

I agree, go for it. Keep in mind that it's not a bolt in swap, no matter what various vendors may tell you. Also, the 2015 Hemi / trans combo is nice but if a five speed automatic, then it came out of a cop car. The roller lifters are prone to seizing on them and then flattening the cam. Good that the repairs have been taken care of. Perform a trans service and you should be good to go.
