Bout to put my headers on and I think beforehand I'd like to put some new spark plugs and wires. It's a 318. Any suggestions. Keeping budget in mind.
I can't find my clothes rihg tnow but i figure ill answer this
Get NGK plugs because they aren't made in china like autolyte and ch@mpions are
if you want good wyers get taylor or aurora or magnecor
if you're OK with dogshit wires just ask for like 1973 dart 318 wires at the autoparts store itll be like $20 or so for a set
good luck have fun god bless
tired of being naked I need to find my clothe snow
LA 318? RN12YC Champion plugs. I've tried most of 'em, and these always performed the best. copper core, and cheap

Yep. Just checked two different boxes and one was Chicom other was Mexico.autolite is now chinolite
No they aren't as other posters have said. THere are old boxes that say "made in USA" or false advertising boxes. This is common in autoparts. There's news articles showing Champion made in China. Can't find any right now i'm hammered dude.Autolite and Motorcraft are made in USA, just like Champion.
If he's putting headers on, he'll have no clearance issues...If you have header clearance issues, Accel makes a shorter sparkplug, part #'s 0416S-4 or 0414S-4

Yeah, like 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999%.....I know that Motorcraft air filters, oil filters and spark plugs are still made here. I assumed (and incorrectly evidently) that since Autolite is also a Ford product they were still made here as well.
What a shame. Even still, keepin mind being made in China doesn't automatically mean "bad", it just means there's a higher probability.
Yes, select the 135 degree boot.I'm not sure about the clearance issue with headers. I figured it would be easier to change plugs and wires before the headers. Are the Taylor wires good to use with headers?
Side note: I work at a company that makes metal products out of raw materials. We mostly do Car parts. Even thought we do extensive quality control, every once in a great while a bad part (not necessarily meaning faulty) will get by. Keep in mind though we are producing millions of parts per month.
i like NGK or autolite.. champions always ran like **** in my mopars..
taylor wires are nice. i have the msd wires with vari angle plug boots on the dart now that are real nice .
It's a little hotter plug. If they don't have 'em, tell them to get some. I can grab them at the local farm n fleet. 404 is the box number. Can't believe they don't stock 'em. but I know they could most likely get them over night. The local auto stores don't carry the Rn12yc plugs. But do carry the rn14yc plugs. Will they work the same?
