I am installing my windshield this week on my 73 Scamp and I am confused with the moulding clip set. For the front windshield there are 23 pieces and 4 of the clips are different. Where on the windshield do these 4 clips go? (see photo)
On the rear windshield there are 12 tabs that stick out of the body and there are 8 holes for screw in style brackets. I do not have the clips for the rear yet and I'm unsure of which ones to get. All the kits I have seen are all the screw in style clips. Classic Industries has a couple different styles that look like they would snap in to the tabs but I don't know which ones will work.
Any suggestions???

4 are side clips, I think as I am going through the same dilemma.
my 70 Dart had 8 top, 9 bottom and 6 side BUT the parts book lists the side and upper as the same clip , 6002263 and the bottom as 6002615. another page the book lists both numbers for the bottom which means all the clips could be the same!!!! it say use as required (AR) which means no exact clip total available

the 4 shorter profile clips go on the A pillars, 2 per.

some builds might have gotten a 3rd clip in the middle, more likely vinyl top builds. Those replacing vinyl tops have been known to add or reposition clips too. There are drawings of typical OEM clip placement. I have that but... Last time I tried to link a pic from my photobucket it didn't work right, attached the wrong pics. sorry

Anybody have experience with the rear window stud type window moulding clips?

I don't recall ever seeing reveal molding clips on weld studs. Lots of other trims with plastic fasteners on weld studs though so I guess its possible.
