Ignition backlighting 69 Swinger.

I've finally found the source of my mystery power drain on the Dart. The light that illuminates behind the in dash ignition switch stays on all the time. Can anyone tell me what should be triggering this to turn off?

Anybody seen this before?

Solution other than eliminating the light altogether?

My 69 Dart never had a illuminated ignition switch. Never heard of that for a 69 Dart as an option either. Not sure what it could be for, but if it was part of the dash light circuit, it should be off when the headlight switch is off. Trace it back and see where it goes and how it's wired in.
