I have been waiting since January for a pair of seats they said were in stock until I ordered them. Their Ebay store shows them in stock as well. They changed the backorder date 4 times. Finally June 20th was their latest move and I cancelled the order. I asked them to send different seats and was told they were in stock. They did not care I had been waiting four months. I was promised a set would be here last Friday. Nothing. Finally showed up Monday. Passenger side, PERFECT. Drivers side missing slider handle, hog ring trying to poke through cushion, side bolsters flat and vinyl loose on both sides! Flip seat over, and it isn't even the same as the passenger side. No fabric covering springs. So now I get to return it and wait some more. I call them up and they can't find any order. I don't have a receipt either. Why? Well, turns out the last girl entered my name wrong in the computer AND messed up my email address! Damn can this company be more incompetent? No wonder I never got a receipt or order number. Got that all fixed and now they won't ship another seat until they get this one back. If I ever get this resolved, they will never get another dollar of my money.

Could have happened to anybody man; JEGS didn't build a hole into your seat. As far as customer data entry, and back orders, this is why I use online order forums. It's too easy to turn a 'B' into a 'P' on the phone. You can cancel the order whenever you like when it's back ordered. Scummit is the same way.

Sorry for your loss. It's hard to find 'the customer is always right' these days.

A lot of interior parts are shipped directly from the suppliers like Clasic Industries. Don't know if this is the case but. I've ordered tons of items from Jegs and they have always made good on any issues that arose.
They are one of my favorites to do business with; ordered head studs from Johnny Pace today who is also all about his customers. That is what makes good companies great!

I've never had an issue with Summit. When you place an order online not only does it show when they expect a part will ship, it shows from which warehouse. Which is great when you want stuff in a hurry and realize some part is going to come from Ohio instead of Sparks. Because if I order before 3pm on a business day and my parts are in stock at Summits warehouse in Sparks I usually get them before noon the next day. Yeah, that's awesome. Amazon can't even do that all the time. Plus as soon as they ship they email a tracking number, always. And I've never had Summit even blink on a return. Heck the return form comes in the box with the part along with the return postage sheet.

Jegs, on the other hand, left me hanging. Ordered, took forever, very little info, tracking # took a phone call to get. That was a long time ago, but, Summit has never given me a reason to give Jegs any more business.

I bought a couple Direct Connection hoodies from Summit.
One of the logos was askew, on the front. I gave them a call and they said, no problem
we will send you another one. I asked how I should ship the bad hoodie back, and they said just keep it.Thats customer service.
Parts are shipped in clean boxes, on time, with no haggle. Usually they have the lowest prices as well.
Thats why I shop there.

Jegs customer service and business attitude sucks dried up dead maggot infested puss oozing rotten camel balls.

I have bought from them in the past, but not directly. I buy from them on Ebay to avoid talking to them. They are short, rude and brash.

Summit has MUCH better customer service, but sometimes I can get a better deal from Jegs since Georgia sales tax is not tacked on.

Agree 100% with the summit fans...

My Milodon oil pan had a factory weld fail during engine break in. Called Summit, they're shipping me a new one, no questions asked. Did this today, should have it on my doorstep tomorrow mid day. Pretty sweet.

How about waiting to talk to someone on the phone, the recording talks softly then all of a sudden yells JEGS!!! blasting your ear out. Something wrong with those guys.

I never was impressed with Jegs, I usually order from Pace or Summit.

See, what really pissed me off last night was the fact that will not ship another seat until they get this one back! So I get to wait another week. After all the trouble I had getting seats from this business you would think they would help me out. They also do not send me tracking numbers and ship Fed Ex and the stuff just shows up on the porch and is not a safe place to leave it.

I like Summit, hate Classic.......
other day some place could not enter my name in puter correctly could not spell "", they just got " barb",,, later hard for them to find me, wonder why!? ha

oh - they are ALL like that - rare as hell that anyone will ship a replacement part unless they have to original one (unless they just don't want it back at all)
If given a choice between Summit and Jegs - I go Summit every time. Have I ordered from Jegs? heck yea, but only when it saves me a decent amount of coin..

Always had equal service from both Jegs and Summit. I spent a lot of time on the phone tracking down parts info not listed as to see what I can utilize. I usually get a guy on the phone that actually races, mostly Chevy guys...but as soon as I shed a lil info on my project and situation, and the details let them know that I know what in talking about/I'm a builder ... they perk up and offer every bit of help they can.
I mainly go to Jegs, then summit to see if they have it cheaper, its always a trade off...they switch which has the deal, that's how they both stay in biz..
Things have gone up price wise in general, millennials are moving into customer service positions they aren't raised correctly to qualify foror perform well in, they don't have the grit and have weak character, they are entitled and give the vibe that its just a job...and they like to work/aka do their job well.

Don't Piss on the company, Piss on the times we're in....

I am not sure I agree with there are equal. Summit has been solid across many circumstance. Personally I have had only bad luck with Jegs, it seems every item is out of stock. Even when I accidentally purchase jegs through amazon. out of stock

I still price check jegs but don't buy

*** UPDATE! ***

Jegs still SUCKS.

Another piss poor seat. Worse than the first one, didn't think it was even possible. Not only is the vinyl loose on the side bolsters and like a washboard, but the headrest supports are so crooked and crushed I can't even insert the posts! There goes another two weeks. Headed towards 5 months now for 2 seats. Incredible.

I dunno, I ordered a part from Summit, and it was defective. I called them and they shipped out another one ALONG with a return label. UPS guy showed up next day, I swapped the part out in the box, taped it up and handed it right back to him.

Shouldn't your beef be with the manufacturer of those seats? I would guess Jegs just drop ships them from whoever the manufacturer is.

Agreed. These are JEGS brand seats. When you put your name on a product, it becomes your baby.

Deal mostly with Jegs...better price due to no sales taxes...but order from summit as it come over night from the Reno area.

And the Coughlin family just had a big write up in some comic book about how they are all service oriented and all that. What a crock of crapola. Jeg is a proven cheater. He was caught TWO times cheating that I know of. If that would have been Darrell Alderman doing the cheating, he'd still be banned from NHRA (kind of like Jerry Ekman who AFAIK is still out and NHRA can only get a 13 car field in PS) but Jeg got his hand slapped and PS got two new rule changes.

SCREW THAT BLOCK HEADED CHEATING GUTTER SNIPE.

To the OP, I'd make Jegs take BOTH seats back and make them pay the freight and get the seats from some other vendor. Unless you can't find them anywhere else. Then you are screwed.
