My new sanctuary.

When I moved from California to Atlanta one of the things that stuck out the most to me was the cement trucks. They are totally different on the east coast/south than on the west. They look like they're going backwards to me. First time I saw one on the freeway I thought I was about to witness a horrible accident. For some reason all the west coast ones discharge out the back.

Siding is started.

you going to do the whole inside in sheetrock or in OSB? I have had both, and its 100% sanded OSB for the win!

I strongly suggest a pad along the side too that ties into the driveway. You can even add overhead cover. Great for storing large parts, mower, etc you want out of the weather, but don't want taking up floor space in the garage.

that forked tree close to the door especially would have had to go. Hope the roots don't grow under foundation and slab and cause problems. Then it would cost lots more to take down. Good luck with it, concrete looks nice

Looking great! You will love having your own place.
One thing I wish I would have thought about with mine is having 4ft on each side of the doors for plenty of room opening car doors or installing pallet racking for parts.

Congratulations on the beautiful shop, tufram!

I don't mean to be a nattering nabob of negativism or anything, but did you know that using plywood or OSB for the interior walls doesn't meet the fire code? It really goes up fast if it gets started, and takes your entire shop and its contents with it. Please reconsider using sheet rock.

They do have treated OSB as well..

I didn't get my shop until I was 44 years old... waited way too long. Your's looks very nice...here's mine.
