My drive is connected to the drive that accesses the neighbor behind my house.
The bad news is that their drive is a little over 1/4 mile long. So they have a stretch to get a good head of steam going. The good news is that I'm not going to replace a single pebble because I only drive about 10 feet of it. The deed states that I own the driveway for aprox 700' and there is no easement. The property was all owned by a large family, so nothing was ever written up. I bought mine from a brother who couldn't stay in the house after his wife passed.
Get past the stretch that I own and the drive is ate up with pot holes. So you know they don't care about their cars.
Right now, I don't really care, but if anyone decides that I need to drop gravel, I'll close the lane and they can make a new drive. They do have road frontage, just a different road.

Sounds similar for sure. I am the first home off the county asphalt road and have an easement on the left side that is paved and an easement across the front that is gravel. I have 90' foot of concrete driveway off the front but take the bulk of dust from the other 6 homes down the way to right. When it is fairly rainy all is not bad short of the 100' of frontage to the gravel that gets tore up from the neighbors, but when dry as it has been for a while not only does the road get rough but We have constant dust all over our cars in the driveway and more. We are not to far off a major highway that sees speed of 85+. The county road to us is posted at 35MPH, but everyone still wants to run the hwy speed. Some folks just can not slow down after leaving the highway! I say that as leaving my drive is only about 30' to asphalt but I always run 35-40 on the road out to the highway!
