CAR SHOW Ebody Jerks turn their noses up

I am just about ready to stop taking my car to general car shows for several reasons:
1. You spend half the day asking people to stop practically climbing on your car.
2. Stupid people make rude comments about something; the wheels, color, engine, my dad had one like this but it had a hemi, Is that a Camaro, etc. BTW, I used to let the "My dad had a 69 Barracuda, but his had a Hemi" comment slide, but not any more. Even after a thorough explanation of available engines in 69, they will still insist that it was bought new with a hemi.
3. Not that I ONLY care about getting trophies (I know we are there to have a good time), but it does get old seeing rough fairly rough Camaros, Mustangs and rat rods getting awards when your fully restored A Body Mopar (or any Mopar for that matter) gets nothing. I went to a general show here in Topeka last year and there was a BEAUTIFUL 69 Charger. Even discounting my love for Mopars if was beautiful and flawless. It of course got nothing.
4. At many club sponsored shows, only club members get awards. The Classic Chevy car club in Topeka used to sponsor a BIG car show every year around Labor Day with proceeds going to Muscular Dystrophy. After about 5 years of almost every single trophy going to club members, the show died away. Too bad, it was a really big show at first.
