CAR SHOW Ebody Jerks turn their noses up

I hate to say it but one of my best friends is a trophy collector for a car he didn't build. He's a super good guy and would do anything for me, but he wrote a big fat check and likes to sit for hours and have people admire "his" car. He has to stay to the very end of the show hoping to collect a crappy trophy for something that he didn't build. I just don't get it? I like to drive in, see a few cars, and then go drive mine some more.

I had a guy at a local Mopar show pick my car apart. He didn't know that I was the owner so I just stayed quiet. He looked at my VIN and said "six cylinder car". No ****?!?! He didn't even catch the fact that it's a 67 with 68 grille and tail lights. Dumbass.

I like my car the way it is with all of it's imperfections. If it's not your cup of tea, move on but keep your snide comments to yourself.

This is my favorite thing to do at car shows! Hang around my car and listen to people pick it apart, not knowing that I'm the owner! If I feel frisky, sometimes I'll jump in and bash my own car with them, then fess up and do something that makes them realize that it's mine, like open the trunk with the key!!

Long ago, I had that happen to my GTX, guy was bashing it because it had the incorrect gas cap assembly! I didn't have the bezel, so I just had a screw on unit on it! Bezels at that time we're going for $300!! Told him if he gave me the money I would gladly rectify that!! He huffed off, but the guy next to me heard the whole exchange! He offered to send me a bezel he had at home, for $30!! I gave him the $30, not really expecting to get the bezel, but lo and behold, I got a package in the mail a couple days later with a beautiful bezel in it! Sometimes Karma goes your way after all!!! :)
