brewersperformance?

Was planning on putting a 1999 5.2 with a 46re into my 74 Duster. But was given in church this morning an A833 from an A body that was used in an auto shop class. It has been rebuilt ever year and never installed for the last several years. Missing side plate, bell housing and sifter. Anyway looking at this company brewersperformance. Have any of you used them and what do you think of them?

This is great street-combo with the right cam,gears and stall. The 4 speed won't touch it.
The ratios are 2.74-1.54-1.00-.69od
IMO, a streeter, you should be concerned with 4 things;
1) the starter gear
2) The downshift at 32mph
3) Using all the engines power by topping out in second gear at 60 mph,
4) the cruise gear

With the 46re
1) You can run 4.10s for a starter gear of 4.10x2.74=11.23,and
2) 32 mph will be 4466 in first,2512 in second. So when it kicks down, brother hang on,and
3) Top of second will get you 60=4958 with 27s@5% slip,and
4) it it will cruise with 4.10 x .69 = 2.83; 65=2285(zero-slip) with 27"tires.
The 5.2 has plenty of giddy-up, and with a cam to peak at about 4800,the run to 60 will be a blast. 11.23 is almost too much starter gear and so, very little stall will be required, perhaps even the factory TC. This will make an excellent streeter. Wait, doesn't the factory cam peak close to that? Heck, I'd run that 5.2/46re totally stock with 4.10s and call it done.Or even 3.91s

Here is a Road Ratios comparison;
46re and 4.10s; ---11.23-------6.31-------4.10------2.83--
46re and 3.91s; ------10.71-------6.02-------3.91------2.70
A833 and 4.10s ;---10.91----7.83---5.70---4.10-------------
A833 and 3.55s ;--------9.44----6.78---4.93---3.55---------
A833 and 2.94s ;------------- 7.82----5.62---4.09---2.94 --
deep low&3.23;-----9.98---------6.17---4.49---3.23-----

As you can see, only the deep-low and 3.23s gets close to the 46re. With this combo, the 9.98 is enough first gear, and 3.23s aren't that bad to cruise with.And third gear is seldom-used, so it could be almost anything.
The deep-low is 3.09-1.91-1.39-1.00. It is the only 4-speed I would consider.
If you use the standard 2.66 low box, you will want at least 3.55s
