CAR SHOW Ebody Jerks turn their noses up

"As evidenced from this thread, there's enough noses in the air from both sides of the aisle."

Son of a *****....I read this and immediately agreed. Sometimes a point is made that just resonates the truth. Well done, Sir.

I don't mind if a guy hasn't built his car entirely my himself. What I do care about is when people are truthful and reasonably humble. There is no shame in admitting that you have limitations. If I met a guy that drove his car straight from a shop to a car show, I'd get along fine as long as he didn't claim it to be all his own work while refusing to share some of the experiences.
We all have heard from the idiots that brag about their 440 Hemi cars, 1968 Challengers, 1973 Superbirds and the rare turbo Valiant. When a guy shows up in a nice pro built car but really seems enthused about it, I won't be the guy to snub him.

Funny, when I told a few local car guys I am building a 72 Challenger, their first question was are you putting a Hemi in it? When I told them it will be a 440 (or a bored over 440), one said why would you waste your time with that, when you could put a Hemi in it? Now that's just crazy!
