Mattress for early Barracuda

-
I would love to have one of those for both my wagons .....who needs a pop up camper like that to go fishing and camping ...just too cool

Thats awesome! I bumped into an old timer last year when I was out in the 67 fastback, he came right up and told me a story of him and his brother and friends at a field party years back. They were all standing around watching/laughing at his brother tearing off a piece in the back of a 67 fastback LOL. Gentleman telling me the story had to be 80 years old LOL. Great story. It makes sense to offer a mattress, or make her take the bottom

So cool! when the old lady kicks you out you can sleep in your car with comfort.

If you put a 400 horse 408 stroker in your '66 and left the stock hubcaps on it and got one of those mattresses in the back, it would be a real sleeper..........

Mom brought our twin mattresses home in the back of her 67 fastback. They fit in there flat...

Look at the other pages of the catalog in the link, so much cool stuff you could order, spot lights, truck a/c with roof-mounted condenser, door-to-door floor mats, "tissuemaster" tissue dispenser.

Mom was cool, her 55 Pontiac had the tissue thing.... OK it wasn't a mopar !
she and dad and me, ( i was 7) picked it up in Florida... I rode back to Ga with her, I well remember her "opening it UP" on 2 lane to find it's top end!!!!! NO interstate back then down there ??? ha

I'm 6'1" and as a test I laid out in my '65 Barracuda. It's a little cozy with your feet in the trunk, but overall pretty comfy and with a cool glass ceiling.

That is very cool.
I could lay down across the backseat of my old 71 charger. Of course laying down with a mattress with more space would have been way more romantic. Maybe that is why I don't cuddle

That is just way cool.
Would be the pimp daddy with one in my 64 for movie nights at the park.
Gonna see if I can fab one up.

I parked backwards in my 65 for movie night once, windows fogged pretty fast but that was OK...:) head rested up on the bar though so we had some stiff pillows. Angle was all wrong though. My friends mom made us a mattress for the back of his seatless 77 VW van over the motor. He would crash in the IKEA styrofoam couch we cut to fit and I got the mattress. Great for sleeping one off after a party as a DUI would have been about suicide with his mom.:elmer:
