it wouldn't hurt to send then some pics of the wheel stud holes, lug nuts and distorted washers. Maybe they have not had any feedback and are unaware of a problem.
So you mentioned the studs are 7/16" NF, but have you actually measured the drilled stud holes? How much bigger than the nut shanks are the stud holes in the wheels?
