Just wondering if this was a good idea. I would like Overdrive, but not too concerned with lockup. Going behind a 410ci sb in my duster.

its a mechanical governor VB, what do you want to gain by making it a manual VB? OD/LU are electronic

OD runs off the 3rd gear oil pressure, meaning OD can not come on until the trans is in 3rd already.
OD can then come on when the solenoid is activated, so I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine.
You would have 1-2-3 manual with the shifter and then OD and lockup electrically activated.
Lockup can be activated in any gear.

You can imagine what it feels like to be idling on a lopey cam at 35mph.:D
(Third gear with lockup activated at 35-40) is pretty frickin cool, though it makes the car a little jumpy.

just so you know, a RMVB for a dodge OD is very pricey, and only certain shops even do them.
