Hi all,
I have an annoying problem with my 63 Dart's turn indicator pilot lights. The pilot lights flash simultaneously and kind of dim. The signal lights work normally, both front and rear, left and right. This occurs only when the headlights or parking lights are on, lights off everything's normal.
I tried to read the wiring schematic but could not figure out anything. I think the fault cannot be in the turn switch as they work fine when lights are off. Any ideas what to check?

Problems like this often end up being poor grounding. Either out at the signal light or at the dash itself.

Any time the turn indicators come on with park lamps, the fault is ground at the front park/turn fixtures. I'll guess yours are pot metal fixtures with bulb socket crimped in. If so, the break in ground path can be anywhere between the bulb base to socket inside to the bolts holding the fixture to grille what ever. I've seen the path broken at that socket to fixture crimp also. Plastic fixtures have actual ground wires to the radiator support area.
If the ground fault was in the dash they wouldn't come on at all.

Thanks, I'll have a look in the front parking lights then. They are the original ones, so I guess pot metal...
