what intake? 4 speed or automatic? Intended use for the car?

holley 750 double pumper...and
what distributor are you running with the 509 cam?

Auto? 4 speed? Converter stall? Gear?

What gear and if so convertor stall?

If 4.10+/3200+ stall....850cfm
If 3.91 & under/3000 and under stall....750cfm

Sorry guys it's a 4 speed edelbrock performer intake. Accell super cool and 410 gears it's a once in awhile cruiser not a strip car

What carb are you running now ?
Is it mainly strip or street ?
I'd see how much vacuum your pulling with a full throttle run and decide from there.

I've had Edelbrock, Holley and now a Street Demon carb on my street driven Duster. After I had it dialed in I'm very happy with it. Very crisp response and good manners for a mostly street driven car. Fair price, and easy to work on. Looks kind of neat too.

I have a 750 Speed Demon that suits the bill. If you want something like it I could let it go your way pretty cheap.

Jesse down at Bigs Performance just hooked me up with a carb and I must say it is nothing short of amazing. A bit pricey but he dials it right to your specs and tests it before it goes out the door. He knows his stuff and I am very pleased. The carb bolted right up without complication and came with new gaskets. My car has never run so well. Highly recommend

Wow, the suggestions on here are all over the place. I have been thinking that my Eddy 1406 was too small for my 340. Came in here looking for a diamond, all I got was...confusion.

The BEST advise given was to call BLP and talk to them. I promise you that whoever you get on the phone at BLP will know more about carbs and what you need than 10,000 keyboard heroes. If BLP don't float your boat, there is Braswell. And if Dave don't twirl your tassels you could call Bob Book. And if BOOK doesn't loop you out, try Dale Cubic.

There. Plenty of options and every carb builder I listed is a professional carb builder and THEY are the innovators. Spend once and spend wisely. Or, you can buy an off the shelf carb and tune on it.

All confused ? :(
What were you expecting, everyone to say Holley 750 ?
People use different carbs, thats reality.
Start your own thread, maybe you can get unconfused.
