5-09-17 on Graveyard cars, 2016 Hellcat Challenger, rear wheel horsepower=650. only 9% less than 707, or only 57 hp less chassis than advertised ? and weight=4440#

I think/heard that Mopar used flywheel HP to rate the Hellcats.... Rod

You know... Its actually just making more HP than you are giving the Hellcat credit for. Lets say that the car has a 12% driveline loss (that is more realistic yes?). So doing the math you take rear wheel HP @ 650 and divide that by .88 = a crank HP of 738.6.

Hauling that 4440# lug around at the ET & speeds we all have been seeing probably takes more than the advertised 707HP. See how they do that? The 707 advertised rating is simply a tad low.

More of the old past power rating shenanigans to fool insurance companies.

650hp, 707hp. Who cares. Ive driven a few of them and they are fast as hell lol

I wonder why the shipping weight I saw on a new one on the show room floor said, "5400" and something pounds. may have been a typo ??

I'd heard that the Challenger was overweight, but damn.

just like anything else a dyno is only as good as its calibration and/or operator, pretty sure this is a stocker

I was w/ my brother in law , looking for a truck for his stepson, ( my nephew). there were 5 hellcat challengers at the dealer we went to, didn`t count the hellcat chargers. We test drove a 2013 chevy 4 door p/u, that he was interested in, when I drove "after him", I floorboarded it up to about 75-80, it started knocking pretty loud, we turned around and took it back !! LOL

We had 6 Challengers and a Charger on the lot. All we have left is one Challenger
