so far the kit works great.. install was easy.. needed to clearance the bracket a smidge for the calipers, but nothing a little grinder couldn't fix.

do those fit 14's? Those disks were bought drilled, and hows the center register, all good?

gotcha. Guess you gotta move on up of you want to stop...with no fade.

don't you just hate the members that are such jerks with their smart *** remarks and butting into a conversation just to be noticed or not give you the right info.? I am really getting tired of this and have reported it, but still it goes on. there are members that truly want to get the right information and learn how to do things, but it still goes on. I thought the board was here to be a learning tool and to help find members with the parts they need to get along on their projects.

I think I missed something too....wait, was that directed toward me..the guy who started this post? Oh dear.....

Best info in the MBM kit yet. Now, can I just go to E-gag and type in MBM 8-3/4 disc brake kit or something like that?

No! NOT trying to be a dick!

Mopar 8 3/4" Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit Charger Challenger A B E Body | eBay
This kit looks almost exactly like the one I purchased, although this is through a different seller..I didn't get an e-brake setup with mine, but with some ebay searching "mopar rear disc brake kit" A bunch will show up.

I also have a Doctor diff 8 3/4 a body housing. So it was a clean and smooth install, aside from the small amount of grinding on the brackets for the calipers to sit down properly.

And another excellent moparist posts helpfully!

Hey Peter, do you by any chance have pics of how y’all got the backing plate bolted to the 8 3/4 or of the custom bracket? Or would you be interested in selling a set of those brackets? I’m planning on a 6.4/6 speed swap in the next few years and plan to try to use the SRT brakes off the donor vehicle as well.

All FACTORY parts from the 74-75 Imperials, that are the common 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

On a related note, has anyone noted the scarcity of 14" tires. I want to go with rear disk and small pattern, but My choices are slim. I think Cass has the only solution that I know of.

Is this a direct bolt on using factory sbp axles? I too am considering this. Does this change the overall width of rear end at all?

MoPar Action did an 8 3/4 disc conversion last year (Aug & Oct 18 issues) using 07 down Jeep Liberty 11 1/4 brakes if you don't mind hitting the boneyard. Keeps it all factory too. Just like Ma likes it. The October issue also has info on 14 inch wheel/tire upgrades but it's for stock type applications.
