340 race motor want to see what cam is in it

On a billet roller there's usually a part # or other info etched in with an electric vibrating tool. Pull the timing gear and see. Mark the gears at TDC and put your own 'dots' on it, (use a straight edge from the center of the cam bolt to the middle of the crank snout) and have at it. Watch out if there's an offset keyway in it, and if so, pay attention to which way the offset is pointing in case it comes out of the cam. Having said all that, once I got the cam card I'd STILL check the previous shop's degreeing in. It's on YOU once you turn that key.
