440 into A body and power steering?/

Headers are no problem with Schumachers. Not sure about PS.
Yup you can. First-hand experience on a 1970 Dodge Dart.. I had power steering but decided to remove it 4 the weight Factor an old-school feel.. I'm building a Hotrod...it all depends on what headers you use it is very tight but it works and spark plugs on the passenger side number four and six have to be done from the bottom.
Everything is "tight" but that's just the way I like it..

I know the OP does not want to spend money for custom headers. But this is what it gets you.RB, motor With raised exhaust Port heads. 2 1/8" to 2 1/4" step headers. Easiest access to plugs I've ever had in any of my cars!!
