Someone please explain a lifetime ban. Ted Williams argued unsuccessfully that Joe Jackson should be admitted, since his life is over, yet MLB said it's a lifetime ban, without defining who's lifetime.

A .396 career hitter deserves to be in just as much as Rose.

He played lights out in the 1918 ('19? I can't remember which at the moment) Series yet stands accused of being one of the players who threw the games. His supposed confession on paper was signed with an "x" since he was illiterate and couldn't read what he signed. A written "confession" on paper from an illiterate man doesn't match his play in the Series.
