Hey all, I'm looking for a early 1969 year 383 engine for my 1969 barracuda. I'd consider anything from bare block to full engines. I'm located in the fort Rucker/ enterprise alabama area.
 
i have a std bore 383 short block, it is a D block i will have to check casting dates to see if early 69 or late 68. it turns over easy like butter smooth. it is located in washington state though
 
To the op, if ur using original big block k-frame/motor mount setup, u need an a body 383 block. Or, find an early 383, like from a 65 c- body. These used the same motor mounts as big blocks and will have the correct bosses for ur setup. If ur using other mounts or K-frame then disregard.

I'm trying to make it as close to original as possible so yes I will need an A body 383 to clarify. Thank you.
 
I have a 69- 383 a-body engine running. Can send video you can hear it running.
