So now I'm wondering, if the posted conversion Kit is already the correct one, or do I have to modify it?

I would call Pertronix and ask as their applications are kind of confusing. I would think by now they would have the Ignitor II and III available for dual point small block distributors. I know they have them for B/RB applications but they spin opposite of the SB.

FWIW I have an Ignitor II in my 318 Poly, single point conversion, and am very happy with it. I by passed the ballast and used their Flamethrower II coil as well.
