Not a spacer. It would be like a centerline autodrag but from the tire bead to the riveted part. That way you could just bolt it to the wheel and not have to deal with welding. I am not a fan of welds on aluminum wheels. All good aluminum wheels are either forged or spun and heat treated. Welding is like plain cast aluminum.
