lower ball joint types -- nub or no nub?

i hope this makes sense, i have a 66 dart, but ordered lower ball joints for 73 dart, along with the rest of my front suspension parts to convert to disc,

problem is the lower ball joints compared to previous have, what looks like to be a turning stop nub, vs. the originals which do not.

now i am thinking i will have reduced turning radius, i could always bend the tab on the control arm, but would rather just order the correct parts.

has anyone seen this before?
