Hey guys,

I've have picked up a Dart Vert a while back and slowly getting parts to get her pack together. When I picked the car up the interior was pretty much shot and I noticed in the truck a bucket seat hard back piece. The car is also column shifted. What were the factory options for a bucket seat car? I figured a bucket seat car would have a center console and a floor mounted shifter and not a column shifter. Anyone got any ideas?

Dart GT models came with bucket seats and center console was an option. I think buckets were optional on 270 models.
 
That makes since. It is a GT model. So the column shift would make it not a console option car then?
 
Console was always a separate option to buckets. My '68 GTS convertible has buckets with column shift...
 
And you could have two different kinds of consoles, depending if is a cable shift or linkage. I have seen both in 66 cars. I might be wrong about^^^^^^ seems I saw a ball and trunion Trans, which is a cable shifted car. Had to be Early 66 left over from 65.
