Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I'm having a hard time finding the correct part or correct info on rear drivers side wheel lugs for a 64 valiant. I learned the hard way that the originals are left hand thread. I'm trying to replace all five on the back wheels. All the places I've checked seem to call out Dorman 610-186, but as you can see in the photo, the splines don't match. Original has 36 splines, dorman part has 24. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks!

splines just offer the interference fit. not number specific. How did you get the old one out?

Just use those, they'll be fine. The hard part is getting them in without removing the hub. You'll have to grind off part of the head to do so. Proper way is to remove the hub.

I used a tie rod puller to press the old ones out. They came out fairly easy. So the new ones don't have to line up with the old splines? If I try to pull them in using the lug nut and some washers will they just make new grooves?

Yes, they will just tighten up and seat in new grooves. No big deal.

no hubs on a rear axle. Pull them in and hope they seat. Old ones were swedged in so pulling the old ones out may have broached the hole to a larger ID. they should work though.
