I have read that the vent window channel strips are becoming hard to find and purchase. I have also seen how expensive they can be. I last saw them for $119 a pair. I also read a thread a while back on a Brazilian dart where the guy somehow refurbished his own Vent channel "fuzzy" strip. I am wondering if anyone ever considered re-"flocking" these strips. It couldn't be that hard, you could hang the part, spray black or clear paint on it, then toss it into a kitchen trash can liner with black flocking in it. Roll it around, then hang it and let it dry. Does anyone for see any complications with this idea? the only thing I can think of at the moment is a "chemical reaction" with the paint that may "degrade " the plastic channel piece, but I could research that. Also, it doesn't have to be paint, it could be glue, but I remember flocking in wood shop and using paint back in High School. I suppose the only way to find out is to try, but I wanted to post this and see if anyone else has tried it. I know that guy with the Brazilian Dart did something himself with these parts.

The 55 dollar retail per door average cost is for a "kit". It includes the plastic guide/shoes that hold the glass in the channel. To do anything less than full "kit" renew wouldn't be pennywise. We can't buy those guides separately anyway. Many years ago the dealerships did offer these parts separately.
So their service dpts could replace one small part today and another tomorrow? who knows? I see the "kit' as the better plan.

I agree on penny wise, and cost effective. I have been hearing that the kits are backorder/not available. I am thinking if these parts aren't available, time to refurbish/ work with what I got. I have spare doors, but those fuzzies disintegrated when I took my "good doors" apart. I am expecting the same if I go after my spare sets of fuzzies.

Look in rock auto in the universal parts for the body, I have gotten plenty of channel and fuzzies from them like 2.50 a foot. You just have to know the measurements of them, they do not have applications.

Good deal, I will check it out.

Yep we can expect all old plastic to be extremely brittle. And if a upper guide suddenly breaks, the glass drops out destroying that thin flocked strip. With soooo many vendors carried these kits, I find it hard to believe they are not available somewhere. I haven't searched them in a few years. The 55 dollar Mopar brand 1 door kits may be gone.
Good hunting

So I did a quick search and WOW. Vans Auto Parts has 1 door kit listed on ebay @ 99 bucks. I bought from Drive Auto Parts and Year One about 5 years ago @ approx' 55 bucks.
Some have reported that Aftermarket/Chinese reproductions are junk so maybe that's a factor. Good luck

What is the Chrysler part number for this kit?

These are readily available I just bought a pair off eBay 2 months ago they were in genuine mopar packaging 60 each side with the guides
